I pay the extra $5.95/month so that I am not charged for service calls. Viasat internet plan prices are high, especially for the speeds they offer. Along with I’ve used all my priority data at the beginning of my billing cycle and my speed was throttled for other priority users. That leaves satellite internet at a huge disadvantage, since it has slow download and upload speeds, plus high latency when compared to DSL, cable, and fiber internet. This company is terrible, we were on unlimited plan after cancelling the unlimited plan for some reason we were going to go over data usage this month I tried to go back to the unlimited plan and was told because upper management made a decision we are not able to go back , after 2 phone calls WITH a wait time of 13 minutes someone picking up the line and then hanging up I called right back and waited 20 minutes before another operator picked up the call after originally being told both times the wait time was less than 2 minutes, and still no satisfaction that plan was no longer available , this is terrible customer service, I told the supervisor that I was able to speak with by the name of Sam after a total time if 35 minutes on the phone 2nd call to be assured I would be looking for other companies that offer internet services in our area she was not bothered in the least of losing a goid customer, if anyone from “EXEDE” NOW I’M ASSUMING IS NOW “VIASTAT” wishes to contact me my e-mail is “Jackfoley3rd@gmail.com ” but I’m assuming with the previous dealings I will not receive any help or feedback. My first concern and question is that if the phone system -free to call in – fails to acknowledge I am covered thus forcing a paying consumer to use data online for communications – that is a red-flag. They really wanted me to sign a NEW 2 yr contract, and PAY THE REMAINDER OF THIS CONTRACT but they would give me one month free I climbed on the roof got the Tria, (end piece of the satellite), modem, power cord and put them in the box.
